FDA Proposes Mandatory Performance Standard for Infant Apnea Monitors

The FDA is proposing a regulation to establish a mandatory performance standard for infant apnea monitors, which are designed to detect cessation of breathing in infants, to ensure accurate and reliable detection of effective respiration and provide an alarm in case of absence.
