Secondary Direct Food Additives Permitted in Food for Human Consumption

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of chlorine dioxide to control the microbial population in poultry process water. This action is in response to a petition filed by Rio Linda Chemical Co., Inc.
