FDA Tentatively Approves Increased Use of Polymaleic Acid and its Sodium Salt in Food Production

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has made tentative decisions to expand the permitted use of polymaleic acid and its sodium salt in the production of beet and cane sugar juice and liquor, in response to a petition filed by Ciba-Geigy, Inc.
