FDA Withdraws Proposed Exemptions for Certain Medical Devices

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is withdrawing proposals to exempt seven generic types of class I devices from premarket notification requirements, while also publishing a final rule exempting nine generic types of class I devices and proposing exemptions for an additional 12 generic types of class I devices.
