FDA Receives Objection to Astaxanthin Color Additive Rule

The FDA is seeking a hearing on an objection to the use of astaxanthin as a color additive in salmonid fish feed, which concerns labeling and specification requirements, and has temporarily stayed the effective date of two paragraphs of the regulation.
