FDA Proposes New Performance Standards for Electrode Lead Wires in Medical Devices

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has proposed new performance standards for electrode lead wires in medical devices, including a proposed ban on unprotected electrode lead wires, in an effort to improve patient safety and reduce the risk of device malfunctions.
