EPA Proposes Designation of Deep Ocean Disposal Site Off San Francisco

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposes to designate a deep ocean disposal site, SF-DODS, located approximately 49 nautical miles west of the Golden Gate, for the disposal of suitable dredged material removed from the San Francisco Bay and other nearby harbors or dredging sites.
