FDA Announces Plan to Reduce Lead in Food from Food and Color Additives and GRAS Ingredients

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is planning to reduce lead levels in food from the use of food and color additives and GRAS ingredients, and is requesting data on the feasibility of new, lower lead specifications.
