Proposed Withdrawal and Opportunity for Public Meeting; Arizona

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service has filed an application to withdraw 9,873.31 acres of National Forest System lands in Arizona's Oak Creek Canyon Recreation Area to protect its recreational values from mineral development, which receives over 650,000 visitors annually.
