The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has announced the availability of an environmental assessment and the receipt of an application for an incidental take permit for a residential lot in the Country Cove subdivision in Malabar, Florida. The permit would allow the construction of a 2,500 square foot home on a 0.5 acre lot, despite the presence of a threatened species, the Florida scrub jay.
