US Customs to Keep Classification of Water-Resistant Jackets with Non-Water-Resistant Hoods the Same

The US Customs Service announced on December 5, 1994, that it would not change its practice for classifying imported water-resistant jackets with non-water-resistant hoods, following public opposition to a proposed change. The decision was made after analyzing comments received in response to a notice published in the Federal Register.
