Secretary of Commerce Announces Prohibition on Dolphin Taking in U.S. Yellowfin Tuna Fishery

The U.S. Secretary of Commerce has prohibited the taking of dolphins under a general permit issued to the American Tunaboat Association in the U.S. yellowfin tuna fishery in the eastern tropical Pacific Ocean, effective February 8, 1994, to prevent exceeding the 1994 dolphin mortality quota mandated by the International Dolphin Conservation Act.
