NMFS Approves Amendment 25 to Groundfish Fishery Management Plan

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has approved Amendment 25 to the Fishery Management Plan for the Groundfish Fishery of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Area, eliminating the primary Pacific halibut prohibited species catch limit for BSAI trawl fisheries and implementing new regulations for salmon bycatch and vessel-specific observer data.
