IVAX Corp. Settles Allegations of Prohibited Trade Practices, Agrees to Restrict Acquisition of Zenith Laboratories

IVAX Corp., a Florida-based pharmaceutical company, has agreed to settle allegations of violating federal law by acquiring Zenith Laboratories, subject to certain restrictions, including obtaining Commission approval for ten years before acquiring any stock in entities manufacturing or distributing extended release generic verapamil in the US.
