Federal Acquisition Regulation; Contractors' Purchasing Systems Reviews

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council have agreed on a final rule revising the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) concerning the procedures for performing Contractors' Purchasing Systems Reviews (CPSR). The revision and amendments help streamline the acquisition process, reduce contractor oversight, and eliminate or reduce regulatory burdens on both contracting officers and contractors. This regulatory action was not subject to Office of Management and Budget review under Executive Order 12866, dated September 30, 1993.
