U.S. Trade Shifts in Selected Industries

The Commission on its own motion has expanded the scope of investigation No. 332-345, U.S. Trade Shifts in Selected Industries, instituted under section 332(b) of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 1332(b)), to include selected service industries. Under the expanded scope, the Commission will publish two reports annually, one entitled U.S. Trade Shifts in Selected Industries: Merchandise, and the second entitled U.S. Trade Shifts in Selected Industries: Services. The first report pertaining to services, to be published in April 1996, will provide a brief trend analysis covering the period 1986-94 and several industry-specific discussions covering the period 1993-94.
