EPA Sets New Treatment Standards for Hazardous Waste Disposal

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued new treatment standards for hazardous waste disposal, including organic toxicity characteristic wastes and newly listed coke by-product and chlorotoluene production wastes, in an effort to reduce environmental risks and fulfill requirements of a proposed consent decree with the Environmental Defense Fund.
