Notice and Open Meeting for the Permits Improvement Team

In the October 3, 1994 Federal Register (59 FR 50231-50232) the purpose and locations of five National Meetings of the Permit Improvement Team were announced. This notice provides the meeting location for the Dallas, Texas meeting. In July of 1994, Administrator Browner established the Permits Improvement Team (Team) to implement specific actions to reform the permits process. These actions will (1) Improve the quality, certainty and timeliness of the permit decision process; (2) provide for earlier and better public participation in the permitting process; and (3) enhance the use of innovative technologies and pollution prevention through the permitting process. From October 20, 1994 through November 21, 1994 the Team will be holding national stakeholder meetings to receive individual input on the specific activities the Team should focus on. The objective of these meetings is to obtain individual ideas and comments, but not to obtain opinion from the meeting participants.
