EPA Proposes Delay in Implementation of Hazardous Air Pollutant Regulations for Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturing Industry

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to extend the deadline for implementing new regulations on hazardous air pollutants from the synthetic organic chemical manufacturing industry, allowing companies more time to determine if they qualify as 'area sources' and are exempt from the rules. The proposed extension would delay compliance requirements until the companies can complete administrative procedures to determine their status.
