EPA Approves Montana's Clean Air Plan, Disapproves Missoula Variance Provision
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed to approve Montana's State Implementation Plan (SIP) revisions, which address particulate matter and carbon monoxide emissions in Missoula, a city designated as nonattainment for these standards. The plan also includes minor revisions to the Missoula City-County Air Pollution Control Program rules, which govern inspections, emergency procedures, and other aspects of air pollution control.
