FDA Amends Color Additive Regulations for Eye-Related Drugs and Cosmetics

The FDA is updating its rules to ensure safe use of FD&C Yellow No. 5 and FD&C Yellow No. 5 Aluminum Lake in eye-related products, following a petition from the Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association (CTFA).
