FDA Approves Scimed's PTCA Catheter and Hemoperfusion Pump

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Scimed Life Systems, Inc.'s application for premarket approval of the SCIMED Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) Catheter and CorfloSUPTM Hemoperfusion Pump, which will be manufactured under an agreement with Leocor, Inc. The approval was granted by the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) on September 28, 1994.
