State Legalization Impact Assistance Grants (SLIAG)

This rule implements section 204(b)(4) of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, as amended by the Labor/Health and Human Services FY 1993 Appropriations Act, Public Law 102-394, and the Labor/Health and Human Services FY 1995 Appropriations Act, Public Law 103-333. Section 204(b)(4) provides that SLIAG grant funds unexpended as of December 30, 1994, be reallocated to States with unreimbursed SLIAG-related costs, to the extent to which funds are available. The reallocated funds will be available to States for reimbursement of SLIAG-related costs through July 31, 1995.
