Bureau of Land Management to Prepare Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for Barrick Goldstrike Mines Inc.'s Betze Project

The Bureau of Land Management has decided to prepare a supplemental environmental impact statement for Barrick Goldstrike Mines Inc.'s Betze Project, following new information regarding the pumping requirements and potential environmental impacts of pumping operations, as a result of the implementation of the pumping operations and monitoring of groundwater elevations since the issuance of the 1991 Final EIS.
