FAA Proposes Update to Airplane Equipment and Systems Guidelines

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced the availability of a proposed Advisory Circular (AC) 23.1309-1B, which cancels and updates existing AC 23.1309-1A, and seeks public comments on the changes. The new AC addresses environmental and atmospheric conditions, as well as software assessment, in response to a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) recommendation (A-92-89).
