NHTSA Publishes Final Theft Data for 1992, Showing 2.7% Decrease in Vehicle Theft Rate

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has released the final data on passenger motor vehicle thefts that occurred in 1992, indicating a 2.7% decrease in the overall vehicle theft rate compared to the previous year, from 4.57 thefts per thousand vehicles to 4.45 thefts per thousand vehicles.
