Rolls-Royce Issues Airworthiness Directive for Spey Series Turbofan Engines

Rolls-Royce, plc has issued an airworthiness directive to reduce cyclic life limits for seventh stage high pressure compressor disks in its Spey series turbofan engines, following an investigation into disk bore cracking caused by corrosion, to prevent engine failure.
