NHTSA Decides 1988 Volvo 740 Sedans Can Be Imported into the US

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that 1988 Volvo 740 sedans not originally manufactured to meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards are eligible for importation into the United States. These vehicles are substantially similar to a U.S.-certified version of the 1988 Volvo 740 Sedan and can be easily modified to meet the safety standards.
