Use of Carbon Dioxide in the Humane Slaughter of Swine

The US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is amending regulations to permit the use of carbon dioxide for humane swine slaughter, based on a petition from the Danish and Swedish Meat Research Institute.
