US Forest Service Proposes Designation of 41 Helicopter Landing Areas in Tongass National Forest

The US Forest Service is proposing to designate 41 helicopter landing areas in wilderness areas of the Tongass National Forest, allowing for up to 50 helicopter landings per year, in order to facilitate public access to these areas, which is currently prohibited by regulation.
