Nutrition Labeling of Meat and Poultry Products; Technical Amendments

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is amending its final nutrition labeling regulations, which were published in the Federal Register on January 6, 1993. FSIS is taking this action to address inconsistencies in the regulations, improve their accuracy, and correct unintended technical consequences of the regulations. Most of the changes are designed to parallel technical amendments the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) made to its final nutrition labeling regulations.
