California Department of Food and Agriculture Finalizes Revised Handling Requirements for Fresh Nectarines and Peaches

The California Department of Food and Agriculture finalized two interim final rules that revised handling requirements for fresh nectarines and peaches, starting with the 1994 season shipments, to expand regulatory periods and modify grade, maturity, size, container, and pack requirements, enabling handlers to meet consumer needs in the interest of producers, handlers, and consumers of these fruits.
