USDA Adds Genetically Engineered Tomato Line to Nonregulated Status for Calgene's FLAVR SAVR TM Tomatoes

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has added a new genetically engineered tomato line, FLAVR SAVR TM line N73 1436-111, to the list of nonregulated FLAVR SAVR TM tomatoes, following its October 19, 1992, ruling that the original FLAVR SAVR TM lines are no longer subject to regulation.
