Egg Industry Sees Rate Hike Under New Amendment to Egg Research and Promotion Order

The US Department of Agriculture has implemented a rule increasing the assessment rate for commercial eggs from 5 cents to 10 cents per 30-dozen case, following amendments to the Egg Research and Consumer Information Act approved by egg producers in 1993.
