DOE Announces Intent to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Multi-Purpose Canister-Based System for Spent Nuclear Fuel Management
The US Department of Energy (DOE) has announced its intention to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for a proposed multi-purpose canister-based system for managing civilian spent nuclear fuel, in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and relevant regulations.
