NMFS Proposes 12-Month Finding and Rule Revision for Southern California Steelhead Critical Habitat

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is proposing to revise the critical habitat designation for the Southern California steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss) distinct population segment (DPS) after receiving a petition from the United Water Conservation District (UWCD) to remove a 9-mile stream reach from the Santa Clara River.
