The Department of Energy (DOE) has denied GlowCore Corporation's request for an interim waiver to deviate from its existing test procedure for measuring hot water boiler energy consumption. The DOE is now publishing GlowCore's petition for a waiver, which seeks to allow the company's GB series of condensing boilers to operate at a lower temperature, resulting in a 5% efficiency improvement.
