Certifications Pursuant to Section 609 of Public Law 101-162

The US Department of State certified 9 countries for reducing sea turtle captures in their commercial shrimp trawls, while prohibiting imports from 3 countries due to non-compliance. Trinidad and Tobago was later certified, lifting the import ban.
