The authority to execute consents fixing the period of limitations on assessment or collection under provisions of the 1939, 1954, and 1986 Internal Revenue Codes (26 U.S.C. 6229; 26 CFR 301.6501(c)-1; 26 CFR 301.6502-1; 26 CFR 301.6901-1(d); and 26 CFR 301.7701-9.
