The Small Business Administration (SBA) is hereby revising the dollar threshold for Approval/Denial of a Certificate of Competency (COC) for their Area Offices and is delegating to one individual (Area Director for Government Contracting) within each Area Office, the authority to issue or deny a COC. This action is necessary to reflect internal changes which have occurred in the Agency and the COC Program. This revision will enhance SBA's ability to process COC applications.
