Atlantic Tuna Fisheries to Close Early Due to Overharvesting

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has decided to close the General category fishery for bluefin tuna early, starting September 17, 1994, due to the expected overharvesting of the 33 metric tons quota set for the late-season period, which began on September 15, 1994.
