New Rule to Protect Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Groundfish Fishery
The proposed rule aims to implement Amendment 21a to the Fishery Management Plan for the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area, prohibiting trawl gear in areas surrounding the Pribilof Islands to protect crab stocks and reduce interference with seabirds and marine mammals.
