NOAA Issues Emergency Rule for Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued an emergency interim rule to relax the qualifying criteria for issuance of limited entry fishing permits in the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery Management Plan. This rule aims to address an inequity in the treatment of certain vessel owners with replacement vessels longer than 5 ft.
