SEC Adopts Rule Requiring Written Notice for Transfer Agent Changes

The Securities and Exchange Commission has adopted a new rule requiring registered transfer agents to provide written notice to registered securities depositories when terminating or assuming transfer agent services on behalf of an issuer or when changing its name or address, aiming to address the issue of unannounced transfer agent changes that affects the prompt transfer of securities certificates.
