FDIC Proposes Rule to Address CECL Methodology Implementation Effects on Deposit Insurance Assessments

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is seeking public comment on a proposed rule to amend the risk-based deposit insurance assessment system for large and highly complex insured depository institutions (IDIs), aiming to address the temporary effects of the current expected credit losses (CECL) methodology implementation.
