Mitsubishi Motors R&D of America, Inc. Granted Exemption from Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard

The US Department of Transportation has granted Mitsubishi Motors R&D of America, Inc. an exemption from the Vehicle Theft Prevention Standard, allowing the company to install an antitheft device as standard equipment on its Mitsubishi vehicle line, which is deemed as effective as parts-marking requirements in reducing motor vehicle theft.
