NHTSA Extends Air Bag Retrofit Regulation for Three Years

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has extended a regulation allowing motor vehicle dealers and repair businesses to install retrofit on-off switches for air bags in vehicles manufactured before September 1, 2015, three years beyond its original expiration date of September 1, 2012.
