OCC and FDIC Propose Shortening Securities Settlement Cycle

The OCC and FDIC are proposing to reduce the standard settlement cycle for securities transactions involving national banks, federal savings associations, and FDIC-supervised institutions, in line with the industry-wide goal of a two-business-day settlement cycle.
