EPA and NHTSA Issue Final Rules to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Improve Fuel Economy for Light-Duty Vehicles

The US Department of Transportation has finalized rules to lower greenhouse gas emissions and boost fuel efficiency for vehicles from 2017 onwards, in line with President Obama's 2010 request to NHTSA and EPA to develop a coordinated program to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions for model years 2017-2025.
