FRA Proposes Railroads to Submit Information on Highway-Rail Crossings

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is proposing to require railroads to submit information to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) about highway-rail crossings and pathway crossings they operate, in compliance with the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 2008. This would involve reporting previously unreported and new crossings, as well as updating the U.S. DOT National Highway-Rail Crossing Inventory periodically.
